James Dowdeswell, as seen on Russell Howard’s Good News & Ricky Gervais’ Extras (BBC) dons his wine and beer goggles.Expect deft stand-up and daft stories, laced with quirky facts about booze. Why are ales crafty? What’s wrong with a Sideways glance of Merlot? And what’s it like to grow up in a West Country pub? James loves nothing more than a jug of ale and a pint of Pinot Noir. You may have even spotted him on the recent Somersby cider advert.

Dowdeswell is a headline act at most comedy clubs, both in the UK and internationally. He is a regular at both the Edinburgh Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Most recently seen on Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC) and Celebrity Deal Or No Deal with Jimmy Carr (Channel 4). He has also appeared in Ricky Gervais’ Extras, The World Stands Up, Edinburgh And Beyond on the Paramount Comedy Channel and Radio 4’s Hardeep At The Stand.
